The position of Probationary Officer is one of the most desirable profiles for those seeking a career in the banking sector. A notification has been issued for the recruitment of 5208 Probationary Officer/Management Trainee vacancies in 11 public sector banks in the country. Accordingly, online applications can be made by July 21 for the examination conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection.
Eligibility
Degree from a recognized university/equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. Age between twenty and thirty years as of 1-7-2025. There is a relaxation of three/five years in the upper age limit for Backward Classes/Scheduled and differently-abled categories, respectively. Ex-servicemen will also get legal benefits

banks
The
current vacancies are as follows: Bank of Baroda - 1000, Bank of Maharashtra-
1000, Canara Bank- 1000, Bank of India- 700, Central Bank of India- 500, Indian
Overseas Bank- 450, Punjab and Sind Bank- 358, and Punjab National Bank- 200.
Vacancies in Union Bank of India, Indian Bank, and UCO Bank are yet to be
reported.
Selection
Process
Selection will be based on four phases of Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, Personality Test, and Interview. The Preliminary Examination will be held in August, the Main Examination in October, the Personality Test in November-December, and the Interview in December-January 2026. Thereafter, the provisional allotment to various banks will be completed by February.

details
The
preliminary examination will be held in Kannur, Kozhikode, Malappuram,
Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Kollam, Alappuzha, and
Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, and the main examination will be held in
Kozhikode, Malappuram, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Kollam, Alappuzha, and
Thiruvananthapuram. Both examinations can also be written in places like
Mangalore, Coimbatore, and Tirunelveli. The application fee is Rs. 850. Rs. 175
for Scheduled Caste/Divisional Persons.
