Good News for Train Passengers: Indian Railways Launches New App 'SwaRail'
Indian Railways has unveiled a new surprise for its passengers: A mobile application named ‘SwaRail’, now available for both Android and iOS users. This app brings together various services such as ticket booking, live train tracking, PNR status checking, and food ordering, all in one place. The app has been developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS).
The objective behind the launch is to consolidate multiple Indian Railways services into a single, user-friendly digital platform. While the existing IRCTC app will continue to function, users can now log in to SwaRail using their current IRCTC credentials or create a new account.
Designed to enhance the travel
experience, the SwaRail app offers several practical features. It enables
passengers to monitor real-time train movements, check coach positions, order
meals during the journey, and even raise complaints directly through the app.
This new initiative by Indian Railways aims to make train travel more seamless,
efficient, and comfortable.
