High Pay, No Interview? UAE Ministry Flags Job Scam Tactics

UAE job scams alert, Avoid recruitment fraud UAE

Synopsis: The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization warns job seekers against fraudulent recruitment offers promising high salaries and benefits. Officials urge the public to verify offer letters through official channels and avoid paying any recruitment or visa fees, which are illegal under UAE labor laws.

Abu Dhabi/Dubai: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE) has issued a strong warning to job seekers to remain cautious of fraudulent job offers that promise high salaries and benefits in the UAE. This advisory comes amid a rising number of people falling victim to recruitment scams.

  • Always verify job offers through MoHRE platforms or UAE embassies.
  • No recruitment or visa fees should be paid by the job seeker.
  • Work is only legal under a proper employment visa, not a visitor visa.

Common fraudulent promises include:

  • Work-from-home opportunities
  • No prior experience required
  • Flexible working hours
  • Direct appointments without interviews

Job seekers are urged to thoroughly verify all offers before taking any steps. It's important to confirm job offers via the official website or mobile app of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization or through the UAE Embassy in your respective country.

Key Verifications & Precautions:

  • Ensure the company is officially registered in the UAE using the National Economic Register.
  • Confirm the authenticity of the job offer letter and verify it through official platforms.
  • Do not pay any recruitment or visa fees -- all such costs must be covered by the employer, as per UAE labor laws.
  • Never work on a visit visa -- only employment (work) visas are legal for work.

Fraudsters often target online job seekers, demanding upfront payments for application processing, document verification, and visa arrangements. These are clear red flags.
