Don’t Be the One Left Behind When the Company ‘Relocates’

Once, a prospective employee attended an interview, where he was asked the first question by the Manager: “Why did you leave your last job?” -  The employee quickly answered:  “The company relocated somewhere and did not tell me where”.

Why was this employee not informed by the Boss about the change in shifting office its location? Obviously, the employee is found useless by the employer and thus avoided him through relocation or a silent termination.  Mind you, this kind of setback may happen in your life if you become non-productive or insincere in your employment. Hence, competence, productivity, devotion, sincerity, dedication, etc, are very much significant to sustain life in this AI-driven work culture.

The Rise of AI and the Real Threat Behind It

Artificial Intelligence has rewritten the rules of employment. Machines now perform tasks that once required human effort, and thousands have already faced layoffs across industries. The truth is harsh. AI does not take breaks, doesn’t demand bonuses, and learns faster than most employees.

But here is the thing: AI can never replace a skillful, creative, and dedicated human being.

It’s not the machine that takes jobs. It is the lack of skill and adaptability that does.

Why Competence and Dedication Matter More Than Ever

Imagine a company relocating and simply “forgetting” to inform an unproductive employee. That’s symbolic of what’s happening in the modern workplace.

If you are not evolving, you are being silently replaced.

Competence, sincerity, and devotion are not old-fashioned traits. They are survival tools in today’s job market. Skillful employees who constantly upskill and maintain dedication will never fall victim to sudden layoffs or technological shifts.

The Classic Lesson from “Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody”

You all may have heard a story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody. There was an important job to be done, and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody’s job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it. It turned up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have.

The story may be confusing, but the message is very clear: no one took responsibility, so nothing got accomplished. A person named Nobody did it, even though it was a person named Everybody’s job. 

At work, it is easy to assume others will handle things,  but the ones who take ownership stand out. They are the ones companies hold on to, no matter what technology comes along.

The Art of Being Effective at Work

Ask yourself: Are you effective at your job? Many of us like to think we are, but few take time to evaluate our strengths and weaknesses. To stay relevant, you must continuously assess what you bring to the table.

Perform a simple, personal job analysis:

* What are the core goals of your role?

* Which skills are becoming outdated?

* What new knowledge or certifications can make you more valuable?

The more you understand your purpose, the easier it becomes to prioritize tasks, deliver results, and remain indispensable.

Beat AI by Being More Human

AI might be powerful, but it lacks human qualities like creativity, empathy, ethics, and judgment.

To stay ahead:

* Keep learning and upgrading your skills.

* Take ownership and responsibility.

* Show dedication and professionalism.

* Maintain a positive attitude and ethical work behavior.

A machine can perform your tasks, but only you can perform your role.

The Last Word: If your company ever relocates “without telling you where,” don’t take it personally; take it as a sign to reinvent yourself. In the AI era, those who evolve with sincerity and skill will never be left behind.

The 5 Silent Traps That Can Ruin Your Life: Chanakya Saw Them Centuries Ago

Acharya Chanakya, the wise teacher and thinker, wrote this book called Chanakya Niti. It’s full of thoughts about life, politics, society, wealth, learning, and how to behave. And somewhere in that book, he quietly drops this serious truth: there are certain places we should never go. Not even by mistake.

Chanakya believed that where we go, who we live with, and what kind of surroundings we stay in, all these shape our success. Go to the wrong place, and your respect, peace, and confidence all start to fade away. He said in his Niti Shastra that there are five kinds of places that slowly destroy our growth. Where there is no respect

Chanakya says it very straight. Don’t stay where people don’t respect us. If we are somewhere and no one values our presence, our confidence will slowly die. Where there is no education

Chanakya calls education the biggest wealth. He says if you are in a place where no one values learning, where knowledge doesn’t matter, then that place is dead for growth. Living there makes no sense because our minds won’t grow, and our curiosity will die.

Where there is no employment

He also says, stay in a place where we can work, where there are chances to move forward. If there’s no work, no opportunity, no reward for our hard work, that place will only make life miserable. Work and livelihood are the base of life, Chanakya reminds. Without that, everything else falls apart. Better move out and find a place where your skills and hard work mean something.

Places with bad company

Another warning from Chanakya. Never go or stay where we don’t have good company. If there are no friends, no family, no known faces, and we fall into bad circles, it’s a trap. When trouble comes, there will be no one to help us. We will feel alone and unsafe. Being in good company gives us strength; wrong company breaks it.

Where there is no culture or values

Chanakya was very clear on this, too. If a place has no manners, no ethics, no sense of right and wrong, then even a good person can lose their way. Living in such an environment slowly changes who you are. You pick up bad habits, lose focus, and forget what really matters.

Chanakya’s words are old, but the wisdom is fresh even today. Where you live and who you stay with can lift you or ruin you. So, before choosing a place or people, remember his five warnings.

One of my companions, who worked in the IT sector of a reputed company, shared his fate with me. He said, “It is never easy to receive that email: ‘Your role has been made redundant due to AI automation.’

His heart sank, his future felt uncertain, and his self-worth took a hit. Many across the world are living this reality, as ChatGPT-like tools and machine learning systems take over traditional jobs.

Big Opportunity at BEL: Over 600 Trainee Engineer Vacancies – Check Exam Dates

BEL Careers 2025: Apply Online for 610 Engineering Posts Across India

Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) has invited applications for the posts of Trainee Engineer. The recruitment is on a temporary basis. Applications are invited from engineering graduates for 610 vacancies.

Interested candidates can apply through the official website bel-india.in. Out of the total posts, 488 are for the company's Trainee Engineer Bengaluru Complex (TEBG), and the remaining 122 are for other locations in India. Registration will end on 7th October, 2025.

Candidates need a 4-year degree in Engineering, such as B.E., B.Tech, or B.Sc from a recognized college or university. Age should not exceed 28 years. Selection will be based on the written test and merit in the relevant category/subject. Written test, category-subject-based merit will also be considered for determining the candidate's eligibility for the post.

The exam will be 90 minutes in duration. There will be 85 questions from the technical and general aptitude sections. One mark for a correct answer. 0.25 marks will be deducted for incorrect answers.

The fee is Rs. 177 for UR, EWS, and OBC candidates.

SC, ST, and PwBD candidates don’t have to pay any fee.

Posts are open in Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science, Electrical, and related subjects.

The exam will take place on October 25 and 26, 2025.

If content writing really made people rich, LinkedIn would look like Forbes. Every scroll would be filled with millionaire success stories. “Meet the so-called content prodigy who supposedly became a billionaire by writing fifteen hundred words on ‘The Ultimate Guide to Indian Masala Chai.

The harsh truth is different. The average content writer struggles to survive. Forget champagne. Forget international vacations. Forget even a proper glass of water. Many live on reheated cold coffee in a plastic cup. But reality hits different. Office folks climb ladders with promotions, bonuses, and paid trips abroad. Writers? They count bills, smile for Instagram, and act like life is perfect when it’s not. The truth is bitter. A content writer shines only if there is another source of income keeping things steady. Maybe it is getting rent from family property. Maybe a side hustle. Or maybe a spouse with a stable job. Surviving only on writing gigs is nearly impossible. Projects come irregularly, payments are underwhelming, and life remains unstable.

H1B Visa Battles: Fee Concessions, MAGA Pushback, and the Future of Skilled Workers

There’s talk of giving doctors some relief on fees because America badly needs more of them. But the bigger story is the fee hikes hitting everyone else. For fresh applicants and smaller companies, the cost is now tough to handle. Indians, who form the majority of H1B holders, feel it the hardest. Many students finishing their studies in the U.S. also depend on this visa, so the higher price adds new uncertainty. If the process stays this costly, the U.S. could start losing bright talent to other countries that are opening easier paths.

India-U.S. Talks Highlight H1B Visa Challenges and Possible Fee Cuts for Doctors

There are indications that the issue of H1B visas came up during discussions between India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. After the meeting, Jaishankar said that both bilateral concerns and international matters were discussed. Both sides also agreed to continue talks on issues of importance to the two countries. Reports suggest that U.S. tariffs were also raised in the talks. This was the first meeting between Jaishankar and Rubio since the U.S. raised tariffs by 50 percent. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

Meanwhile, U.S. authorities have hinted at a possible reduction in H1B visa fees for doctors. This move comes at a time when the country is facing a significant shortage of doctors. Currently, a fee of  USD100,000 is being imposed on new H1B visa applications. For visas granted against previously submitted applications, the old fee will still apply. The USD 100,000 charge is not an annual fee, but a one-time payment.

Many Indians typically start their journey to the U.S. on student visas. After finishing their studies, they often move to H1B work visas. Some eventually apply for green cards. Over time, a number of them become U.S. citizens. As per the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services, nearly 3,80,000 H1-B visas were  issued in 2023. Out of these, about 72% went to Indians. This shows how heavily the system relies on skilled workers from India. Most of them are employed in STEM, a course of study in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics. They like to choose fields such as Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, and Cybersecurity. These professionals earn an average annual salary of around Rs. 1.01 crore.

However, supporters of the "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) movement have long argued that the H1B visa undermines job opportunities and wages for American workers. They demand changes to the H1B system and insist that Indians and Chinese should not be allowed to enter through it.

H1B Visa Fee Hike Explained: Why Indian Workers May Feel It the Most

What is the H1B visa? The H1B is a work visa; it is not permanent. It is not a green card. It lets US companies bring in skilled workers from other countries. Jobs where deep knowledge or technical skill is needed. Think software, medicine, finance, biotech, research.

Most of the time, tech firms take the biggest slice. They hire engineers and coders from India and China.

Because demand is huge, there’s a lottery. Every year, only 85 thousand visas are issued. 65 thousand in general. 20 thousand extra for people with US advanced degrees.

For many foreign students who finish their studies in the US, this visa is the bridge. From student life to a real job. And maybe later to permanent residency.

Who feels the fee hike the most

The new hike hits fresh applicants first. And the companies that sponsor them. Costs may turn scary high.

Indian workers will feel it worst. They make up nearly 70 percent of H1B holders. For many, US jobs mean higher pay and a path to green cards.

What it means for foreign workers

For those dreaming of the US, money becomes the wall. Even if employers pay, many small companies may hesitate to sponsor. Fewer chances.

This may push talent elsewhere. Canada. UK. Germany. Australia. All building routes for skilled workers. The US may lose some of its best minds.

International students in the US may also feel shaky. They rely on the H1B to stay after studying. If the path shrinks, uncertainty grows.

It also raises fairness questions. Rich companies and wealthy applicants still get through. Those from modest homes or smaller schools may be locked out.

Speaking on The Tucker Carlson Show, Altman warned that AI is set to replace a significant share of support-based positions. His comments have once again fueled fears about AI, with some calling for stricter limits on its development.

Altman believes AI can handle customer service better than people. He also warns that it could threaten programmers’ jobs. In the past, about half of all jobs were replaced every 75 years. This time, he says, the change will come faster and at a much larger scale. Still, he pointed out that jobs needing human care, like nursing, will survive. People value empathy and trust and the things only humans can give.

Companies are already moving this way.

Big firms are quickly adopting automation. Last year, Oracle said it would automate all customer support. Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff also announced 4,000 layoffs. Many of those jobs were in customer support, and AI is now taking over much of that work. Changes like this show how quickly companies are shifting.

But experts say human services won’t disappear.

Not everyone agrees with Altman. Gartner Inc., a global research and advisory company, predicts that by 2027, over half of the companies that cut support staff will bring them back. This means many businesses still see human connection as vital. AI may change customer service, but it’s unlikely to replace people completely.

Altman also admitted that he sometimes struggles to sleep. Millions use OpenAI’s chatbot every day, and it feels a heavy responsibility. He worries that even small AI decisions could create big effects worldwide.
